We are a small team, but a fun, high energy, and active organization, working to promote, strengthen and develop Laurens County.
Full Time – Salaried, Monday-Friday and some after hours and weekend events.
Qualifications: The President & CEO should have strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with proficiency in technology and Microsoft Suite. Experience with Chamber Management software is preferred. They must possess financial management, analytical, and leadership abilities to motivate volunteers and staff. A passion for community development and a commitment to the Chamber's mission are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, marketing, or a related field is required. Prior chamber or management experience is preferred, though equivalent education and experience may be considered.
General Duties & Responsibilities: The President & CEO serves as the chief executive of the Chamber, tasked with providing visionary leadership for the work of the Chamber, including umbrella organizations and initiatives. This role is accountable to the Board of Directors for overseeing all activities necessary to achieve the Chamber’s objectives in business and community development, external relations, membership services, events, sponsorships, legislative advocacy, government affairs, and special programs. Responsibilities include strategic planning, developing the annual Program of Action, managing the organizational structure, budget, and finances, fostering volunteer and membership growth, hiring, developing, and supervising staff, and maintaining the Chamber’s facilities.
