2024 KLCB Community Partner Award Winner: Tanya Towne at the Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center!
KLCB is proud to recognize Tanya Towne at the Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center as the 2024 KLCB Community Partner Award recipient! Tanya’s dedication to environmental education and community engagement has made a lasting impact on Laurens County.
As a certified Adopt-a-Stream trainer and the hub center for Laurens County, Tanya has been instrumental in equipping volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to protect and monitor our local waterways, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for all. She also played a key role in bringing the THINK Litter Letter Trail to life—an innovative educational initiative that raises awareness about litter prevention.
Additionally, her passion for environmental stewardship was evident in her work with the school portion of the Upstate Team-Up to Clean-Up Earth Month event, where she engaged students in meaningful, hands-on activities that inspire a lifelong appreciation for conservation.
Tanya was presented with the KLCB Community Partner Award at the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner, where her contributions to the community were celebrated among fellow leaders and changemakers.
